Henri Haber

Henri has led a very diverse and interesting life. Born in Belgium but raised in Israel, God preserved his Jewish parents through the German Nazi occupation of Europe. Henri served in the Israeli military during the Six-day war and then went on to study at New York University’s American Language Institute. He has worked in upper management for major International hotel chains as well as in the Oil and Gas industry with Angel Investors, and founded a chain of retail stores which were sold to a national manufacturer.

The most significant moment in Henri’s life occurred in 1984 when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior after meeting with Dr. Ravi Zacharias. It was while living in Austin, TX, that he sensed God’s call to full-time ministry. In 2001, he and his wife Jennifer moved to California when Henri was appointed Director of Mission Advancement with Medical Ambassadors International. Henri joined Opportunity International in January 2008, serving as its Vice President of Philanthropy in Northern California & the Northwest through June 2016 raising capital to build Christian Banks in Africa and Latin America, Henri and Jennifer returned to Austin last year. Henri served as the Major Gifts Officer of the Austin Opera during its leadership transition phase. He now volunteers, working alongside Rich Carney, assisting ABBA with its donor relations outreach.
