Andrew was born in Austin and lived here until age 10. He moved to the Phoenix area, where he lived until beginning at Stanford University. Immediately after college, Andrew moved across the highway to East Palo Alto with a group of friends and they began an outreach to youth which grew into Bayshore Christian Ministries. Andrew directed BCM from an all-volunteer ministry to a multi-program organization with significant impact on the whole community. He has thrived in several “minority majority” settings.
Since moving back to Austin in 2008, Andrew has worked a few stints in education and as a consultant for non-profits, churches, and other service-based businesses. Racial reconciliation, incarnational ministry, Christian community development, and community engagement have been major themes of his ministry. At any time, you can engage him on these topics or get him to play a board game.
