We believe there are 9 areas or domains that influence the culture in our region. We believe that if each area is being influenced by people with Christian principles and moral character, the city will reap the benefits of that wisdom and sound leadership. We believe that there is great opportunity to gather people together that are interested or already involved in these domains to encourage them to dream together of how to make a difference across the city, to encourage one another to live on mission, and to share stories about what they see God doing in and through their willingness to be available.
The 9 Domains (excluding the Church itself) are:
Neighborhoods
Neighborhoods are where life takes place at its most basic level. It’s where we live, it’s where kids go to school and play with each other, it’s where we entertain friends and family at the most intimate level. The goal is to ask, “What is God up to in my neighborhood and how can I join him?” As people begin to see their neighborhoods with new eyes they begin to care about the community. Universities & Colleges
Educational institutions are where we learn the 3 R’s as well as many other things. Our desire is that education reflect the truth about God and man so that the truth shall make us free. The “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” and wisdom is the goal of education. Sports & Fitness
Sports and fitness is a multicultural language that so many are quick to respond to. As some would say, “We all talk ball.” Sports and fitness is an incredible way to begin building relationships, where then the gospel can be openly shared. To join the prayer group for this domain, click here.
Media
Media is the way information is communicated to the masses. Whether through print, TV, social mediums or radio airwaves, these tools can communicate fear and gossip or they can communicate hope and the good news. They can be used to create division and strife, or they can be used to inspire to great works. May the media in our region communicate truth and good news. Music, Arts & Entertainment
Arts, Entertainment & Music reflect the glory and majesty of our Creator. They by-pass the intellect and speak directly to the soul. Marketplace
Business is a calling. It is a way to worship God. Business provides income and a means of finding purpose for many. Business takes our skills and talents and can channel them into great works. Government
God gave man government to establish freedoms and boundaries. Government dictates the laws of the land. The laws keep us safe and help establish an order.
