Every person has groups of people that they influence and by whom they are influenced. These groups are often called “spheres of influence”. They may be the people in our neighborhoods, people in our workplace, individuals with similar passions, etc. We have looked at our city and determined there are 9 major influence centers we have entitled DOMAINS. These Domains are strong areas of influence that shape the culture, atmosphere, and who we are as a city. The diagram below illustrates these Domains.
As followers of Christ, we are called to have a spiritual influence on the lives of the people in the Domains in which we function. We need to see value in every person. God expects us:
to PRAY—asking His blessing on the individuals around us
to LIVE—being “SALT & LIGHT in the community
to LOVE—having a heart of compassion
to SERVE–assisting in meeting needs
to CONNECT—taking time to get to know and relate to individuals
Imagine the impact we believers would have on the lives of individuals and the transformation we would see in our city if we truly accepted God’s call on our life.
