Helping the Church stay informed about and address critical needs of Austin
No question, the Austin area is remarkable: live music capital of the world, state capital, centers of learning, an attractive business environment and according to Forbes and other magazines “a best place to live.” But we are not without significant challenges in crucial areas that affect our quality of life — transportation, water, air, public safety, poverty, inadequate health, affordable housing and education. God’s Word calls us to be a vital part of the city and “to seek the peace and prosperity of the city.” Jeremiah 29:7
ABBA is committed to that call. We feel it is important to work with city and community leaders to identify the needs, offer solutions and seek opportunities to transform our region. While there are other areas of need, the three most critical in our Region are: Education, Health and Affordable Housing.
